WHAT IS ITIL?

ITIL® is used by millions of professionals globally. Businesses are built on ITIL. The framework supports organisations and individuals to gain optimal value from IT and digital services. It helps define the direction of the service provider with a clear capability model and aligns them to the business strategy and customer needs. ITIL® is a professionally recognised certification scheme and provides comprehensive, practical and proven guidance for establishing a service management system, providing a common glossary of terms for businesses using IT enabled services.
ITIL was previously an acronym for Information Technology Infrastructure Library.

Under the revised framework of ITIL 4 (released in February 2019), ITIL now simply refers to a best practice IT Service Management framework.

The ITIL certification is  a key requirement for most IT organisations and one that is looked on favourably by modern IT organisations.

The ITIL 4 certification plays a key role in the progression and attainment of your certification stands you in great steed on your way to becoming a recognised and respected ITSM professional.

ITIL is the global standard in IT best practice, and is used globally by millions of practitioners.

It is relied upon by 90% of the FTSE 500 to run their IT operations.
